The five finalists waiting for you to weigh in are "United 300," "Casino Royale with Cheese," "Little Miss Squirtgun," and a pair of horror spoofs - "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Rehab" and "The Texas Chainsaw Musical." In order to make sure your vote is informed as possible, it's time to get to know our candidates.
Bill Caco, Casino Royale with Cheese
Q: What was the inspiration for your spoof?
A: It all started with the title, “Casino Royale with Cheese.” Once I saw how perfectly those two phrases mashed up, I quickly saw how the two main characters from both films could inhabit the same story. And since I am a huge James Bond and "Pulp Fiction" fan, I had plenty of inspiration to draw from.
Q: What resources did you pull together to make it happen?
A: Well, we only had three weeks to put it all together, so I quickly called everyone I knew that I thought could help and luckily everyone stepped up. I'd worked with all the actors before and knew they would be perfect in their roles. I also took over a friend's house for two weeks - moved everything out of his garage so I could turn it into Casino Royale, cleared out his living room to make it a high-rise office, and cast his one-eyed dog in the role of. ...well, the one-eyed dog.
Q: What's your favorite spoof in the contest besides your own?
A: I think "300 Pins" was great. Such a funny concept and it was shot really well. I mean, Spartans bowling...who doesn't love that?
Q: Who are you hoping to meet at the Movie Awards?
A: Jessica Biel...or Alba...maybe Simpson...I don't know, somebody named Jessica.
Skyler Stone, Quentin Tarantino's Little Miss Squirtgun
Q: What was the inspiration for your spoof?
My fave thing about MTV has always been the movie spoofs at the beginning of the awards. From Stiller's one about Tom Cruise where he played his stunt double to Andy Dick doing the “Castaway” spoof. Combine that with my love for all things sketch and it just seemed like a great contest to be a part of and I get inspired by my troupe members Zach and Alanna. They are the funniest people I know.
Q: Tell us an interesting story from the shoot.
A: When Alanna acts, you always use the first take. She's like Sinatra in that aspect. The guy Zach in the short actually is gay.
Q: What’s your favorite spoof in the contest besides your own?
A: "Double Dough 7."
Q: Who are you hoping to meet at the Movie Awards?
A: Is Ralph Macchio gonna be there? No?!? Fine...then Uma probably. Or Depp.
Noah Harald, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Rehab

Q: What was the inspiration for your spoof?
A: All of the craziness happening with celebs and rehab, and I knew I wanted to cut footage into the trailer, so I had to pick from the available films. I really like the new “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” flicks, so it worked out.
Q: Tell us an interesting story from the shoot.
A: During the greenscreen reaction shots, the character Jesse, who's bleeped out, improv'd some nasty stuff offscreen and it maybe took 20 minutes for us to regain composure.
Q: What’s your favorite spoof in the contest besides your own?
A: “United 300” is gonna be real tough competition. Those guys are pretty funny and how did they get a whole plane?
Q: Who are you hoping to meet at the Movie Awards?
A: Zack Snyder, Brett Ratner, Johnny Depp, Will Ferrell and if Jack Nicholson's there, I mean, he's Jake Gittes.
Zan Passante and Paul Morrell, Texas Chainsaw Musical
Q: What was the inspiration for your spoof?
A: Zan has always loved making up crazy musicals on the spot and after he saw an ad for the contest, he was in the shower (alone) and started singing about slapping people's bottoms with a chainsaw. Paul loved it, end of story.
Q: Tell us an interesting story from the shoot.
A: After the shoot, Zan's fiancee's car overheated on the way down the Canyon. So they pulled over and called a tow truck. About 25 minutes later, a bright light shone into the car... they thought it was the tow truck... but alas, it was the police! As Zan stepped out of the car, he realized he was wearing the Texas Chainsaw garb, complete with realistic bloodied shirt. As he stepped out of the car, he said "This isn't going to look good."
The cops jumped out of their car and the officer in the driver side pulled his gun out and yelled "Get your hands up now!" and then yelled, "Sir, why is there blood all over your shirt?!" Zan explained that he was shooting a spoof and had all the materials in the car to prove it... they checked him for weapons and asked if there were any in the car. "Yes, a chainsaw with blood on it... fake blood though!" Zan replied. The officer then ran a check on him, and realized he was telling the truth and said "Good luck with the contest. Now get your stuff off my car."
Q: What’s your favorite spoof in the contest besides your own?
A: We liked “The DeFarted.”
Q: Who are you hoping to meet at the Movie Awards?
A: Paul would love to meet Jennifer Love Hewitt. Zan would love to meet Hootie, Derek Jeter and the judges who helped make this a possibility.
Andy Signore, United 300
Q: What was the inspiration for your spoof?
A: The idea for "United 300" came from the desire to witness 300 Spartans kick the snot out of terrorists. Who doesn't want to see that?
Q: What resources did you pull together to make it happen?
The list is long. In just a few days, I had to secure a plane set, insurance for the plane set, actual 300 weapon replicas, wardrobe, and a full cast including 15 muscle guys to come be extras...for free. Plus a digital FX artist, green screen, more lights to cover our finale shot of Jerxes being kicked off. A second HDV camera to join my own so I could shoot twice as much in our five hour window, food for the cast and crew, an animator to create our title logo, original music and a partridge in a pear tree. Amazingly enough we got it all in for just over a grand.
Q: What’s your favorite spoof in the contest besides your own?
A: “Borat's Anonymous” was pretty funny.
Q: Who are you hoping to meet at the Movie Awards?
A: An agent - or a famous actor who will star in my next project!
